This beautiful antique plate displays a scene reminiscent of Maastricht's "Sana" pattern and is also referred to as "The Mongol Huntsman" and "The Falconer" by other makers. The brown chinoiserie is encompassed by a peach lustre and shows much staining and crazing gathered over its many years. Research dates this plate circa 1880s. The plate measures 8 1/4 inches in diameter. It would blend into many different transferware or ironstone collections or display beautifully on its own.
