We are a modern & vintage consignment boutique located on Main Street in Beacon, NY that has been in business since 2010. Before you take a deeper look, know that we are looking for more than just a simple retail employee. We are a very small business and like to forge deeper connections and friendships when possible. We are looking for someone who will stick around and treat the shop as if it were their own!

Positions available:
Boutique Employee – general running of a shop duties including but not limited to; checking out customers, intaking new consignment, inputting consignment into our point of sale program/web store, maintaining shop’s appearance and cleanliness, marking down & tracking consigned inventory, re-stocking and fixing up displays, tagging and steaming inventory.
- 1-2 positions available
- Available hours approx. 5-20 a week depending on days available and what you’re looking for
- Shifts are typically half days, ex) 11am-3:30pm or 2:30pm-6:30pm, but full days possible
- Reliability necessary, flexibility a huge plus
- Pay starts at $13/hr, possibly $14/hr with managerial experience
- All positions also come with a 20% off shop discount
Fashion Merchandiser/ Display – Create and build product displays using new, vintage, antique, or handmade props, re-dress mannequins, rearrange clothing and merchandise to keep things fresh and entice sales, develop unique ideas for the visual design of the store and windows that fit the shop’s aesthetic.
- Must be aware of seasonal trends and possess artistic traits
- Morning or after hour shifts preferable
- Flexible hours, approx. 5-20 a month at $15/hr
Social Media & Marketing – create engaging captions for instagram posts, create new tag lists, imagine & create new promotional ideas, as well as comment/reply on posts and other accounts to create engagement between similar customer groups.
- This position can be done from home
- Creative writing experience necessary
- Possibility for more hours to also take flat lay or shop photos and also to create or edit photos/posts
- Approx. 5-10 hours a week at $13/hr.
- This position has possibility of more hours if paid in store credit
Web Store Photographer – take & edit photos of merchandise (mainly clothing on mannequins or possibly models) for web store, upload to store and instagram/facebook shops
- Some photography experience preferred, but we currently just use newer iphones for photos and may continue with that due to ease (therefore, newer model iphone required)
- Display or styling experience preferred
- Mainly morning into early afternoon shifts
- Approx. 20 hours a month with chance for more when needed, at $14/hr.
- Possibility for more hours if also interested in packing and shipping out orders (at this time, our online sales volume is very low, but we are looking to increase it)
Brand Ambassador – take photos of self and also model Blackbird Attic merchandise, post photos on your instagram posts & stories (and we will also use on our insta and webstore)
- Pay is in shop credit only (try on clothes, get free clothes!) at $20/hr at shop (your posts created on your own time at home)
- Must send public instagram account for consideration
- Preference for guys & gals with unique styling
